
Vancouver is a coastal city and as such is blessed with beautiful beaches. All Vancouver Park's Board operated beaches have a life guard on duty in the summer months. The beach is a perfect place to swim, play in the sand, play volleyball, cycle, walk, run or just sit while catching some rays or enjoying the view. Vancouver has ten coastal beaches and one freshwater lake beach including:

Canada Place is a Vancouver icon. This fantastic convention centre, cruise ship port, and hotel is a Vancouver landmark that can be found on Vancouver's most popular postcards.

The park is an evergreen oasis of over 1,000 acres and attracts an estimated eight million visitors every year, including locals and tourists. A 8.8 km (5.5 mi) seawall circles the entire park and is used for walking, running, cycling, and inline skating. Most of the park is covered by a lush green forest and features 200 kilometres (120 mi) of trails and roads. Stanley park is also home to Vancouver Aquarium Totem Park and spectacular ocean and mountain views.
Located 15 mins. out of downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain offers nature trails, Lumberjack Shows, Birds in Motion demonstrations, and the Observatory Restaurant. The Observatory provides a romantic candle-lit setting for your date. It features panoramic views of the city and award-winning West Coast cuisine.

Capilano Suspension Bridge swings over the rushing waters of Capilano River in the Capilano Canyon. Located in North Vancouver the bridge offers breathtaking views and the adventure of crossing a 450 foot swinging bridge 230 feet in the air.
Located in Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is a fantastic place to take the family when visiting the city of Vancouver. The aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium with over 60,000 exotic and fascinating creatures. The aquarium entertains with daily dolphin, beluga whale and sea otter shows

Gastown is a national historic site and home of a Vancouver icon, the Gastown Steam Clock. The cobbled streets are lined with media and design companies, as well as professional offices, art galleries, studios, film schools and architects all in some of Vancouver's most historic buildings. Just north-east of downtown Vancouver, Gastown offers a unique shopping and nightlife experience.
Located on False Creek, Granville Island is a charming public market rife with fresh produce, breads and seafood. Granville Island has an old-fashioned, timeless feeling and is home to 300 businesses including glassblowing studios, master shoemakers, jewellers, art studios and craft studios. It also features a theatre company, micro-breweries and restaurants. Granville Island is also host to a number of art and music festivals, most notably the Vancouver Jazz Festival and the Vancouver Arts and Culture Festival.

Robson is Vancouver's most famous shopping district. The district stretches across three blocks of Robson Street in the heart of downtown. The Robson shopping district features premier fashions stores, jewlers, salons and fine dining. In the district you'll find hot brands like French Connection, Tommy Hilfiger, Club Monaco, Bebe, Gap, Banana Republic and countless others. While not on Robson Street, Burrard Street near Robson and areas of Alberni and Georgia Streets are considered part of that district.
